Work has asked me to live in Darwin for 3 months.. I think they are trying to tell me something.

Any way, I will be writing about places I got and see just so you can enjoy too.

Well I have arrived in Darwin. A quick transit in Sydney from Canberra and I am here.
Bit disappointed with Qantas. You would think Sydney - Darwin ( one of Australia’s longest domestic route. South east to north west) would actually have a decent aircraft as its the same flight time as Sydney to Perth. There was no individual personal entertainment system instead was the flip down roof screen showing the usual drivel. I am actually a little excited for what might be ahead. Great opportunity for me, afforded by good bosses. More up dates soon

So far I have only been to a few places in and around Darwin.

This pic is from Adelaide River, 200km south of Darwin . The town is little more than a pub, fire station and a WWII Cemetery with the remains of servicemen killed during the Bombing of Darwin.

The buffalo is named Charlie and he starred in the first Crocodile Dundee. After his death the locals had him stuffed and displayed in the local bar.

I am loving all the storms that rolls through Darwin on an almost daily basis. They only last 30mins of so but they are full of sound and light shows.

One of the other highlights (pardon the pun) is the amazing sunsets. After having grown up on the east coast, I was not used to the sun setting on the water.
